This is a set of rules for punctuation that should be kept in mind when writing content for HELIO HMIs, the HELIO IDE, and the HELIO Docs.


Commas

Serial commas

»Items in a series are normally separated by commas (but see 6.64). When a conjunction joins the last two elements in a series of three or more, a comma—known as the serial or series comma or the Oxford comma—should appear before the conjunction. Chicago strongly recommends this widely practiced usage, since it prevents ambiguity. Dashes & Hyphens

Hyphens and the various dashes all have their specific appearance and uses. The hyphen, the en dash, and the em dash are the most commonly used. The differences can be subtle, especially between an en dash and a hyphen, but using them correctly shows that you're precise and careful.
